What’s new in Summer '22

With the Summer ’22 Release comes a whole new look and feel for our DealerTeam Service App. We’ve been working hard to update our Salesforce Classic pages to Lightning Web Components. LWCs provide a single integrated framework to create rich and responsive applications that help enhance the overall performance.

These major enhancement allowed us to create a better user experience across the Service Department with standardized page layouts, responsive components with intuitive sub tabs, and improved functionality to reduced SOQL queries for faster page load times.

Service Department

  1. The Parts Invoice: Gone is the classic look with hard coded page values. Summer ‘22 welcomes the flexibility of Lightning Web Components to better customize your experience around a common Parts Invoice Line Manager. We have created distinct record types to better handle Counter Sales, Repair Orders, Vendor Returns and Core Charges. Enhancements to Parts handling were also made to properly track Core Charges.
  2. The Purchase Order: Gone are the classic VF pages and again we set apart the different record types. This allows Purchase Orders to be created against Vehicle Inventory, Service Repair Orders, Parts Orders and Miscellaneous purchases for non-inventory items and shop supplies. The new PO interface will also process Core Charges and the tracking of Serialized Parts
  3. The Service Repair Order: And for the hat trick, Service Repair Orders gains a new look with custom LWCs. We've overhauled the Operation Code Selector and created a new Line Manager to make it more efficiently to find Op Codes and easier to update Repair Orders.

Big News in Beta Accounting

Summer ’22 also brings the much anticipated beta release of DealerTeam Accounting, introducing a truly cloud-based DMS complete with Salesforce Enterprise CRM. This time around the release is private, but it’s available for preview by request only, in a full sandbox. To learn more contact your Account Manager.
